I need to convert 2-wire dry contact closures (close = Start, Open = Stop; then nothing) to activate the Start/Stop SPST switch on a generator.
The 2-wire contact closes to tell the device to start-- it needs a momentary contact closure (1-2 sec) to do so. The 2-wire contacts stay closed during device run time.
The 2-wire contact open to tell the device to stop-- it needs a second momentary contact closure across the same set of contacts.
My issue is with trying to isolate the "Stop" command circuits from the "Start" command circuits. As the generator uses only one SPST momentary input to both start and stop I can't have the Stop command interfere with the Start process while still needing the 2-wire open to generate a second momentary Stop contact closure on the generator switch.
Just can't seem to get my mind around this but know there must be a solution/
COME ON-- Has to be a good brain out there somewhere that can figure this out after 2+ months!
