Im installing a remote starter into the Celica. Cant start the car without the clutch depressed right?! So I want to take out the switch, and ziptie it down

if you want to permanently by-pass the clutch so that you'll never have to step on the clutch to start the car, then look for the 2 wires that plug into that switch. one is BLACK/ white and the other is WHITE/ black. cut them both and connect them together (on the end leading to away from the switch itself).
or...if you want to retain this feature when you key-start and just want to by-pass for remote start, then connect the negative-out-on-start (sometimes called status output) to the BLACK/ white wire. good luck!

A friend and I made something out of this gold colored metal and we shaped it into a squarish square in the plastic area that holds the shifter. After we tried to solder a probe we made to make contact with the square if the shifter was is gear, we decided just to super glue it on there. Then duct taped it. We tested it, and even slammed the shifter hard mulitple times to see if it would get loose, and hooked it up to the trunk trigger of the alarm.

Id love to take pics but I have no access to a digicam. I'll try to see if I can borrow a friends to take pics, and I'll post up what we made.
