08, 09 chevy tahoe ignition wire

I'm trying to figure out this stupid Tahoe . I need an ignition wire but have not been able to find one . The door says it's a late 08 built vehicle . I called my locale Chevy dealer and they told me to call GM . I called GM and they in turn told me to call my locale Chevy dealer ..... Funny huh ... Thank you for your help .....

Try testing for a pink wire at the ignition harness. But I believe the last one I did I grabbed it at the fuse box on the drivers side dash.

There are multiple PINK wires at the ignition switch. Test to make sure that you have the right one.Jeff

I tried the fuse box and found nothing . I was hoping to find one with out taking the steering collum apart .

I believe the ignition harness is fused at 2 amps, so nothing higher current should be tapped into up there. I think there may also be a pink wire at the brake switch that is ignition. Again, low current so use a relay.

hi, there is a junction box under dash, driver side, by parking brake assembly..near the firewall. it has two columns of connectors. on the left column, towards the bottom, should be open terminals/pins. the upper left contact should be ignition...it's connected to a fuse labeled SEO/ALC in the underhood fusebox (fuse 54...10A?). the upper right contact in the same section is a ground. GM uses these for their dealer installed video equipment. i believe they fuse the video system at five amps. if you need more current, use the leads to trigger a relay. you can pick up battery power from the electric trailer brake wiring (a little to the rear of the junction box). you'll probably have to connect the red (battery feed) to the underhood fusebox (the stud is at the front of the fusebox)...wire is taped up between the box and left fender. hope this helps
