A friend has a 2004 grand am 4dr and wants me to help them get a remote start wired in.

i am wanting some DEI recommendations for the passkey override unit and specific locations as to where to connect that unit.

i have some older DEI ESP units and would like to use one of them for the main RS unit. but need to interface the passkey or whatever was used on this car.

thanks for any advice.

check out bulldogsecurity dot com for that vehicle they have a few pics as well as wire guide.  You can do the 2 relay and resistor method on the vehicle to bypass the passlock.  the diagram is available on this site in the downloads section.  This vehicle has passlock 2.  You can use an xk06 to bypass the passlock or xk01 will do passlock and some convenience features.  Db-all will also do passlock bypass and some convenience but it will need to be flashed
