Just installed an autostart 2 way alarm system. Problem being, when I get into the truck and begin to drive it the shock sensor will go and the alarm will go off.

The remote start and door locks work fine. The only problem is if you start the vehicle and then open or close a door, or if you tap on the shock sensor (or just shake the car really hard) the alarm will still go off(while the car is running).

I was told that the autostart's use the powered up ignition wire to disable the "alarm" portion of the remote starter. Not sure if this is true or not but it shouldn't matter because the ignition wire is being powered up when I remote start.

Any help anyone?

The default is set on Passive Arming.
You will need to make the change to Active Arming instead.
Once disarm with the remote and it see the ignition wire power up I don't see why it will sound the alarm. Remove the shock sensor all together and see if the problem continue.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.97 F150 and Autostart Alarm - Last Post -- posted image.

check and make sure that the yellow 12v ignition input on the actual alarm brain is hooked up. it may have an ignition output on the remote start harness and an ignition input on the alarm harness.

How do you switch between Active and Passive arming? The manual doesn't seem to say how.
