intermittent horn honk

I have a scytek galaxy 5000rs alarm/rs unit in my car. I have the horn honk output setup through a relay. It is programmed to chirp the siren and honk the horn on arm/disarm. This has been installed and functioning for almost a year. Recently I noticed that the horn honk doesn't always work on arm/disarm. I have narrowed it down to when the vehicle is cold from cold weather. Most of the time it does not work in the morning, unless we had a warm night. But after I use it once in the morning, it will work until it sits for a long period and it is cold outside. I replaced the relay hoping that it was affected by the cold, but I still have the problem. Has anyone heard of this? Could it be the brain? everything else works fine, including siren chirp. Or is it most likely a connection that is barley being made and the cold causes contraction of the metal enough to lose contact? any tips would be helpful before I take it all apart.

What year, make, & model car is it? That's important.

Problem is most likely that your car horn is getting older & needs a longer pulse to make it sound.

Sorry I omitted that. I try to give as much info as possible. It is a 2008 Chevy Aveo5 hatchback. I just went out at lunch and it worked fine, but this morning, no horn, just siren.

My theory is not correct if the car is 2008. Maybe if the car was 10 or more years old.

It must be something else. I'll have to think about that.

Here is the relay wiring. It is definately when the temperature is cold, the horn does not chirp on arm/disarm.  Maybe I should try the panic button first thing on a cold morning to see if the actual alarm function will honk the horn...hmmm just though of that....but neighbors will hate me...oh well
