Eliminating FG fumes in interior?

I'm not fg expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I've worked with it enough to know 2 things: 1)If there is already resin on the upholestry, I couldn't imagine acetone could possibly be worse. If there is no visible evidence of resin in the carpet, then I doubt there could be resin in the carpet. The fumes will linger for a while. They'll go away but it may take a while.Nik

The fumes are asorbed into the entire car. Steam cleaning would help. Just keep the windows down when ever possible and give it about two weeks to clear up.

Ha ha, I did a mold in my car about 6 months ago for an amp rack I was planning on doing, did it about 9 at night, left my backpack in the car, for the next day for class, and I dont notice the smell of FG that much anymore, however, when I walked into class everyone thought someone was painting the school, as I walked in. So from that experience, it does take about 2 weeks... some people say Onion, some say apples... I used a Odor-Ban a cup of jelly looking stuff I got my from my moms paint store... worked really well..Duke Duke

I thrid the notion for onions. Works great for oil based paint and if you've worked with that stuff, you know it's pretty potent.Jeff

what do u do with the onion? Do u slice it up in the car or fry it and bring it into the car while its still hot?
