how the hell do you think resin will penetrate a piece of 9 ounce glass mat. I have a hard enough time getting it to wet out a piece of 2 ounce. Take everybody's advice also and use fleece to get your shape, and also use some 1 ounce glass mat insted. And also do a ton of reading before embarking on a project, this will save youa ton of money in the long run. Good luck to you.

Seriously man were just trying to help you out. If you take chicken wire and try to make your shape with it. Its more than likely not going to turn out right. The chicken wire is just not going to shape like cloth will. You can even use an old t-shirt if its big enough to cover your entire structure. You plan on soaking that 9oz for a little bit and hoping it doesn't dry? Basically by the time you get a tank set enough to be able to do this, you're gonna RACK the resin/hardener up... But meh. GL I guess... Hope you like that sub a hell a lot too, building the box so it can't be taken out would really suck if you don't like the end...
