88 bronco, gas cap lock

Okay so i just got an 88 bronco ii the gas cap has a lock on it i have no idea how to get it off i dont have the key and neither does the guy i got it from i am completely lost the most i got from anybody was to use vise grips but i dont kno what im doin with em

STOP! It's hammer time. I'd bust it  with a hammer and punch. A drill may spark and you know what that means. You might try to find out who made it and see if they can send you a key. Or just call a lock smith. I vote for the hammer. It might be harder to do but, you get to break something.

Even before that, just do a ten minute search of the truck. I had to bust the origional Ford spare tire lock (worth a few $) off on my '84 when the last owner didn't have the key. Month or so later I found it wedged in the glove box coin holder. GRRRRRRRRRR!
What kind of locking cap is it?

too late i ripped it off i got angry when i tried putting a screw in the lock and pull the core and it didnt work so i took some vice grips put a foot on my tire and pulled, it obviously came off right before i fell backwards turn out i didnt have to pull that hard
