what about DLS, they're great, and can compete with most of those other brands....

I'm new here.. & I'm looking for advice on my component speakers.. I have a 350z '03.. I bought the 2-way comp. speakers from Alphasonic PCT6551.. I have heard very little about these speakers but researching the specs made my choice.. I produce breakbeats & use "Rokit RP8's" in my studio.. They have a woven glass cone & are very precise.. The Alphasonic speakers have the same woven glass design.. One more reason I bought them..
I have read that while upgrading the front speakers to components, you should just delete the rear speakers to acheive the best sound stage.. The rear speakers are directly behind your head.. Literally blasting away at your neck.. so I can see why this was recommended.. I'm just not sure if this is the right decision..
I appriciate any input..
I also bought a pair of ss30 kicker tweeter components.. Very high quality tweeters.. to compliment my highs..
I purchased 1 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect.. I have a 2 ch. PPI 300w amp for my sub & I'm getting the 4 ch. Alphasonic 4150A amp for my highs..
Let me know what you think.. Suggestions.. Thanks..

for the best sound stage, you should relocate the rear speakers to the front doors, not completely eliminate them.

I disagree.  Relocating a second channel of information to the same physical plane as the front channel can cause a lot more issues than it could solve.  Cancellations, loss of imaging focus, etc.  The best solution is to eliminate or carefully design the location of the rear channels so it will not interfere with the front stage.

i agree with most everyone here...but personally lean more toward Focal and Boston. I have personally owned and sold both before, and in the midline of thier lineups they are very close. but as you get closer and closer to the top Focal destroys boston in mid and tweeter ability. But in the price ranges you are looking the Focal Access are 269.99 and the boston SL60 are 349.99.
