6.5 component suggestions

Well I feel the need to change out my front components in my car (2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT) and I wanted to hear some honest opinions and suggestions from people. These speakers will be run off of an Eclipse CD7100 head unit and Eclipse XA4000 4-channel (front two channels). Here are the speakers I am looking at: Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 (Currently installed) Kicker SS65.2 Polk SR6500 Boston Pro60 Eclipse SC8365 (any suggestions on mounting the midrange in this specific car?) Thanks in advance for any insight!

Ok, this is easy.  Which speakers do you like the sound of best?  Then the forum can go on from there.  If you analyze the reason(s) you feel the need to switch out your current components, that will be a good start in helping you to find a better replacement set.Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I like how my Kappa's sound now, but they are just not loud enough for me. I have listened to the Boston's running on an Alpine 2-channel and they sounded pretty loud and really clean. The Kickers, Polks, and Eclipse's I have not listened to, but I am just looking for some opinions to better guide my search. I listen to all kinds of music, from rap to hip-hop to drum & bass and other kinds of electronics. The reason that I am looking at these speakers (and not focals or mb quart) is because I can get a really good discount on them from work (except for the boston's, but they are all over ebay for cheap).

I specifically said I was looking at this list because I get a good discount on them through work, so my budget is around $300 - $400. What is the advantage of running an active setup? Won't I have to use my 4-channel to power my components only (leaving my rear 6x9's unpowered)? I would like to keep my rear speakers for rear fill.

no focal is its own brand. mb quartz are very good as well i used to run a 3 way comp of the quartz 628.02 about 9 years ago and they still beat alot of the newer comp that r made today. like i said focal, quartz, or cdt. the words boston or alpine will never come out of your mouth once you hear any of those 3.
