2004 Dodge Ram truck, 1500 Hemi, doing remote start only. Viper 160xv.

Got everything wired in as instructed, when I hit the remote start button I can hear the relays click (also checked all wires for voltage at that time), I can feel the blower motor kick out air for a split second and the shift indicator lights up, but no start. Doesn't even crank. Can't hear the fuel pump start or anything like that. What is going on here? Am I missing something or do I have a bad part? It is the black key so there should be no need for the bypass unit. There must be something stupid I am overlooking.

Wired as follows:

Acc 1: Blue

Acc 2: Pink / YELLOW. (tried all 3 of those wires that are pink / YELLOW and no change)

Ign 1: pink/white

Ign 2:Pink/light green

Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks for any help, the quicker the better haha.

Thanks,

Jeremy

did you add a relay for the 2 ignition or 2 acc?
is it hooked up right?
second acc is the smallest pink / YELLOW but all that does is keep the abs and brake light from comming on....
you try starting it with the key and trying a take over with remote start?
did it stay running?
got solid ignition connections?

I'm an idiot... For some reason I didn't hook up the 3rd 12v input to the satellite relay box. Don't know why I thought I didn't need it. But that was the problem. Guess thats what happens when you go a year between putting these in huh? I feel so dumb.

Thanks for the replys though!

Ok, so i just hooked up a remote start in an 05 Ram, everything is ok except the abs and brake lights stay on until i insert the key.
I found something about multiplexed 2nd start. so i added relays according to Audiovox's instructions and Cut into the PURPLE / Brown wire at the ign harness, but no difference???
Is there a better way to keep the lights off?

chrisplm,
Anything involving relays and cutting a PURPLE / brown wire is only for the newest-style Chryslers with small ignition wires.
So whatever you did there, you probably will want to undo it.
If you look up there in metz35's post, you'll see the smaller pink / YELLOW accessory wire. It's neither really thick nor really thin........smaller than those other heavy ignition wires, but larger than the smallest ones in the harness.
Anyway, you just need to power that up as an accessory and you should be all set.
Since there are several pink / YELLOWs in there that all test as accessory, I would advise making a temporary connection at first (you don't even have to tape it up) and try the remote starter to make sure the lights go out, before making your connection permanent.

works like a charm now, thanks for your help.
(I just wish i realized it before i spent all that time wiring up the other relays that i thougt i needed)
