adding tweeter to the head unit

Hello I need some help and your suggestion or option. I am planing to add all 4 tweeter to each door on a 4 door truck. Reason for 4 tweeter instead 2 tweeter for the front because the front speaker that is added with tweeter is going to be louder of being 2 ohms and the back speaker being 4 ohms and it becomes offset of the balance of the loudness. Plus the 4 channel amp is rated at 4 ohms. Can I wire all 4 of 60 watts rms tweeter that comes with capacitor/bassblocker to the head unit? My speaker and amp is rated at 80 watts rms at 4ohms. I figured adding 4 tweeter that it would going to bring up the sound of the highs when adding more than just two tweeter from a head unit. Tweeter at from head unit 22x4=88 rms watts. Speaker from amp 80x4=320 rms watts. Or do I need to end up getting new tweeters and wire them to the speaker and amp?

its my understanding that tweeters really dont affect your ohm load due to the higher frequency. i would personally run tweeters just in the front so your soundstage stays up front.

In general yes, you can power tweeters from your head unit assuming your head unit outputs power and live-level at the same time. Be sure to use the crossovers that come with the tweeters. You may need to add some sort of L-pads on them to match levels with the amplifier.Support the12volt.com
