Pro Installers

I love installing car equipment, and if I had time to get a job I would. But to be certain it is something I want to do, can anyone out there tell me a general salary if I were to work part-time installing at a shop? I know it depends, but in your experience what has it been?

the 2 shops i have worked at where  commission only  i have seen some guys walk away with a check for $ 1600 for 2 weeks the largest check i ever got was $1050 and i worked my a** off for those two weeks if you are fast and don't break any part of the cars or fry any equipment you can makesome good money i made the most money installing when i was working for my self and had referals coming from a car audio store that had great prices but no install bay when i was doing that i made 450 in a day and half  but that wasn't every day1974 ford pinto 4 15" punch Z power punch bd 1001 pioneer DEH-6700

the shop i work at is commission , but i am also gaurenteed 350 a week if i dont make more than that, say for exp; if it rain all week or is just slow.i still make something. but usally u get someone whio whanted it done yesterday so ill work all hours to get it done.  i have the best luck with custom speaker boxes. i guess al the big boys around here dont like to make them so it bring me good buisness. u can turn 38 dollars of material into a 200+ dollar box.. just something to think about. also learn to use a multimeter. it preety easy and can tell u alot without frying things.rottenbellys 05 crew cab colorado.Pioneer dehp 880prs, kenwood excelon in all 4 doors.
