I'm installing a Phoenix Digital alarm (PD-144) in a 1995 Toyota T100.

There is not a diode already attached to the starter kill relay that came with the alarm.

For this application...Do I need to use a diode? or Can I go without the diode?

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply.

Not sure what additional info you are looking for...something specific?

The alarm is real basic. The relay came pre-wired, but no diode.

The only thing on the truck that has power assist is the power steering. Eveything else is manual.

Thanks again,

Without knowing the specific setup & wiring of the relay plus how it integrates into the starter there's no way to analyze the rigging & determine if you need a diode.  Off the top of my head I'd say if it didn't come with one pre-wired & you're doing a standard setup you're probably fine.  There's no real reason why you'd need one.
