Hey All,

I just purchased the Kenwood DVD/TV-Tuner/CD/MP3 and need some help on the installation.  I have a question on the installation.  It's telling me to connect the parking sensor wire(green) to the vehicles parking brake detection switch harness using the supplied relay connector.  I've got a 2002 F150 and don't know where the parking brake detection switch is.  Can someone help me? Also since it has the monitor & receiver that each have (red, yellow, black, dimmer control wire) can I connect all those wires together then to the wiring harness of the truck? If anyone has already installed one of these into their car/truck, please let me know if it's pretty hard to hook up.  Thanks all

Big Josh

All that you need to do with the parking brake wire is run it straight to ground.  Or you can run it to ground through a switch so you can turn the screen off.  Im not sure about the dimmer control wires that you are reffering to.   Brian

The e-brake wire is connected to a spring loaded switch at the back of the e-brake.  Personally I don't bother with dimmer wires.  If you are using a metra harness it is the ORANGE / white wire and connect any thing that says it is a dimmer wire to it.  Also I don't know if you mean to connect the yellow(constant power) the red( switched ignition/accesory) and the black(ground) all to the dimmer with the radio's dimmer switch wire?  Could just be the way it is phrased. If you mean to connect the yellows together and then to constant etc... Then yes you can join like colors together to the repsective vehicle wires.  If you hook the e-brake wire to ground just be sure not to get caught driving with the monitor on by the police.
