ok i am upgrading the alternator wire, im gonna run it through the fuse box....on my fuse box it has 2 post....the left 1 leads from the alternator and then the right side it leads to the battery....the 2 are side by side....should i upgrade both or only the 1 that leads to the alternator post

why are you fusing the lead from the alternator? the power load fluxuates so much it will probably blow the fuse. Chances are your stock wire is not fused so you dont need to fuse the upgrade either.
