Non keyless cars, locks are reverse polarity and they are mastered from the passenger side switch. Keyless cars, locks are positive trigger

Just curious, how are you bypassing the Passlock I?

I had asked you earlier in the week about the Passlock 1 and you told me how to bypass it. Well I ended up using the bypass module. After I figured out how to read the resistance the right way I set the bypass module and it worked for me. But just for reference in case I have problems with it, you told me to get a trimpot...is that the also known as a trimmer? I asked the guy at radio shack for a trimpot and didn't have a clue and neither did I. Let me know.

a trimpot is short for a potentometer.  it is called a trimpot because you can dial in the resistence.  a 0 to 10k ohm should be fine for any installation.  try to get them with a stiff dial if you can. 

I would grab the wires on the passenger side in the kick panel.  If you want to try the drivers kick you can but i hate when I do that and then waste my time because it doesn't work.   I grabbed mine in the passenger kick and they worked so it is worth the 3 extra feet of wire. 

I am very interested in how your passlock bypass turns out.  What module did you use?
