06 colorado, viper 5900, not starting

Ok, I have a viper 5900 with a 556lw for a bypass installed on my 2006 colorado. Yesterday i tried changing my battery terminals (which was successful), problem is that the car will not start now., any thoughts?

I did one of these bad boys awhile back. 556LW wont work for this car you need to measure the resistance and wire it inline to the 2nd ign/starter wire.Cris

lol no no no that part worked fine, the remote starter was working perfectly, now the car wont start with key or r/s, im guessing it had something to do with disconnecting the battery

Is the Passlock light lit up on the dash when you try to start the vehicle ? If so you have to reset the system.Jeff

Just some clarification, is there any response from the vehicle when you try to remote start? Sometimes I've had to re-program remotes or units when the battery has been disconnected for a certain amount of time, or a customer has jump-started his vehicle. If you receive no confirmation at all from the vehicle (no light flash, no ignition, etc) I would say that the remote/brain needs to be reprogrammed. You can either take it to an authorized dealer or shop, or if you don't have access to it, someone here may be able to help you with the programming procedure.

well i didnt really get too into it because of the fact that it dropped to about 1 degree out here, so im going to tackle it in the morning.   I do not think the ignition is coming on tho, dash lights and the radio do not come on when key is in the on position, but you can hear the fuel pump kick on

ok quick update: Immobilizer bypass has been removed completely so passlock wiring is back to original condition. car still does not start with key, here is a list of what works and does not work. Works: horn cd player ejects cd's but will not turn on fuel pump Does not Work: HVAC door locks power windows power mirrors car does not crank dash lights (except check engine light) ((no security light on) any thoughts guys? all I did was change battery terminals. once it didnt work then I went and removed immobilizer bypass, still doesnt work. checked fuses, some wont test, i dont know if this is normal or not

I am with the 'check the fuses' bunch on this one. Have seen some of them pop by simply jump starting the vehicle. Take each one out, visually inspect them and check with a meter. I would have to think it is going to be one of the heavy main feeds that will be obviously blown though.Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
