I am intstalling a valet 712t on a 2005 taurus. How can I tell the polarity for the park lights. I hooked up the 712 to brown wire on the car and it does not flash the lights. It has a jumper to change for + to - polarity. I also would like to make the dome light work on unlock. I am not sure to use + or - polarity. Dan

First off.... do you have a digital multimeter?  If you do, use it. If you don't, get one.    Safety first my friend.

Second, there are 2 brown wires at the pheadlight switch. You got the correct one?  (it's the one on the outside) it's (POS)+
