hey first off let me say thanks for reading my post
i have a 1989 Chevy Caprice... anyways, i have 4 12" Kicker L7s and a Kicker zx2500.1 with a Kicker zx350.4 for my components that i have yet to get...
my question is tho what upgrades do i need to do to my car.. i have heard a couple different things, i was told i need two yellow tops, one under the hood and one in the trunk with an alternator upgrade... then i heard my car battery with a kinetic in the trunk with new alternator upgrade... i want to do it right and i would my Caprice to POUND but i am on a budget so i would like to do this inexpensively as possible
i also heard talk about battery isolators, is that worth getting, i look into them.. the idea behind them is great but to they work, thank you so much plese help me out with any suggestions possible

yellow tops are decent...There are plenty of different battery manufacturers that make sealed batteries.
First thing to do upgrade your alternator to a high output alternator. The biggest you can afford...the bigger the better.
Then upgrade your big three and all possible ground straps and wires on the vehicle.
To it seems like you have the money to upgrade your electrical since you have four L7s, a 2500.1, and a 350.4
Forget about the isolators...get the biggest kinetik you can fit under the hood and a 2400 in the rear.

Kinetik and powermaster are both great betteries, I would replace both batteries you plan to do with the largest you could.
Go with the biggest alternator you can afford. Look for reputable alternator companies like powermaster, Irrigi alternator, H.O altertnator.

You can get a direct-replacement 140amp alternator for your car from your local auto parts store.

Napa part # 213-4625G. It goes for about $139.43. It says that you need the cable upgrade kit since it's a HO model.... but, the Big3 takes care of that.

HO alternators for your car are some of the most common ones. I wouldn't be surprised if you find a 200amp one for about $150.
