Aahh ok so basically you don't have to have a bunch of stock, lets say if you have a mod. For gm u can flash it for a few different gm vehicles deppending on the firmware needed ,am I correct?

I think they are going more for vehicle coverage than reduced stock for the retailer. Even with Bypasskit's XpressKits there are still 5 models you have to keep in stock just for remote starts.

I can't say I've had much experience with iDataLink, but Trilogix(Bypasskit) doesn't really seem to stick with one carmaker for a lot of their modules, they just look at which hardware will work and make a firmware for it.
