That's normal. just hit the start button and it'll shut down.

you probably entered timer mode.. When you hit the rs button are you hitting the function button.. This makes it go to timer.. You should just be hitting the re button open the door then arm.. Check your timer status and how its programmed

i put my foot on the brake, pull up handbrake, take foot off brake, hit the remote start button on the remote, open the door close the door and hit arm. the manual says it car should shut off. From what i can see about the turbo timer mode you need to hit the function key twice then press the RS button to enable it. the other weird thing is the parkers stay lit up but only when armed after following remote start sequence :) thanks for the advice by the way.

Possibly a problem with the door trigger wire?
Try this....
Without car running, open the drivers door. Press arm on the remote. Does the siren chirp one time, pause, then chirp another time? It should. It means a door is open.
If it doesn't chirp the second time, the alarm is not seeing a door open. Check your door trigger input.

Its deffinatley something with the door trigger wire.. I was able to replicate your problem .. I stumbled onto this problem by accident,  Yesterday me and my wife were in the driveway and I was attempting to enter the rs sequence.  Thing is she opened the door before I could hit the rs button.  I hit the RS button while her door was open,  I still recieved a confirmation chirp saying it was entering.  When I went to arm, the car wouldn't shut down..  I then shut the car down via brake light.   I then started up the car to attempt to re-enter the rs, did everything correct and attempted to rs and everything went smoothly.  My guess is there is something wrong with your door trigger wire.  It is probably not connected to the correct wire.   Recheck that wiring.

hmm.. Just learnt something, sequence will allow RS as long as u put foot on brake, lift park brake, take foot off brake, press RS button but unless the door is closed  and u then open the door, close the door and hit arm the car will not shut off unless u press the RS button on the remote!..

issue solved. i was testing it with the door open. :S.. just didnt realise this was causing me all my problems, anyway thanks alot for your help guys. Only took me 9 days to sort out all the issues! :).. mind u i rewired the entire stereo, amps etc etc. Anyway now that i have finished installing it im really quite happy with how it performs.
