motion sensor doesn't work

I've recently installed an autopage rf-425lcd pager alarm in my 98 honda prelude. The alarm has a dei 520t battery back up also. Everything is working fine except for the motion sensor. The motion sensor is connected to the optional sensor harness. When it is plugged in and armed; a minute or two later it will do a full trigger. When I put it on the lowest setting counter-clockwise it will still go off.
