Just fitted a 2 way clifford alarm/remote start to this fiesta. For the manual mode to work you need to wire a rpm pulse. Looked everywhere but cant find one. Any one have any ideas. Ive also tried a directed rpm generator but the bloody thing starts to pulse as soon as the engine is cranking which makes the remote start stop cranking as it thinks the engines running. I have progammed it for virtual tach for now and it starts fine but the manual mode will not work as it needs a tach signal.

Either rear of instrument panel which I doubt because like that year's Focus it's probably solid state, otherwise engine management, look at the pin-outs if you can access a diagram for the diesel version, or a DEI 464t inductive pick-up, far the best route for a diesel.

I have tried looking at the back of the spedometer and your right. No joy. The dei module i have also tried but it starts to pulse during the crankin process which makes the remote start think the engine is running and it instantly stops cranking. I need a pinout somewhere on the car.
