Do you have a volt meter? There will be less than 5 wires at the ignition switch. First find the constant wire. It will probably be the largest wire. There will be a smaller wire that has power when ignition switch is in the on position and the accessory position (If there is an acc position) This will be the accessory wire. Another large wire will have 12 volts when the key is in the on position and will still have power when the key is turned to the start position. This is the ignition wire. Probably the only remaining wire will be the start wire. It will only have voltage on it when turned to the start position.

33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!

The ignition coil has a positive (+) terminal as well as a negative (-) terminal. Connect to the negative.
