Ok, I have a CVA 1000 , not the 1005... I tapped into the video feed to the screen and get the aux video source for a second when I press v.sel. I checked all the posts but can't find the answer to this one- Any idea's ? Thanks, Steve

hey never mind about the video feed, I figured it out. What you need to do is take the yellow/red strip wire and do the on off switch thing. The red wire needs to be hooked up to a toggle switch that will turn the 12v on and off. Basically to be able to keep the picture when you first power on the unit you must flip the switch on-off-on-off-on. This will disable the video protection and then you shouldn't have any problems keeping the video feed up!
