My truck currently has a Compustar CM-4200 remote starter installed in it and only providing remote start at this time. I would like to install an alarm into my truck and keep my remote start functions.
I recently picked up a Alarm IT FT-CM9A-CONT which is a universal alarm brain and was wondering if anyone has had experience running two compustar brains with 1 remote. I realize and understand that the CM4200 does not have the capability of having an "addon" and I am trying to keep costs down from having to buy an entirely complete setup.
If I have to lose the remote start that is fine as the few times I would use it wouldn't be a big loss to me as all I'm really wanting is an alarm system. I've had a few people tell me its not possible but nobody has given me a reason to say why. So I know there is some knowledgeable people around here.
