The alarm can go off for many reasons. . .
Number one, the unit just doesn't work right.
Number two, if using a voltage sense wire, something in the car clicks and causes the alarm to go off.
I have a Dodge Avenger ES, and my factory alarm ARMS 30 seconds after I lock the door. If I sit inside the car, I can hear a relay click about 15 seconds after I remove the key, so something is clicking off. NORMALLY, that probably would set the alarm off, but since it arms 30 seconds after, then it's fine.
If you haven't tried this, wait about 30 seconds before ARMING, after you exit the vehicle. Something in the electrical circuit may be setting it off. IF you only have one shock sesnor, and it was REMOVED, and it still went off, then it's either the UNIT, or sensing a current change after you arm it.
