I know to hook up the pos/neg backwards will tell you  is they are hooked up right, but is there a way to tell if a subwoofer is blown..I have a fosgate punch He2 2 ohm, dual voice coil speaker..Also while I am on the subject, a guy at the local shop told me that half (or 1 channel I think he meant, the amp is a Lanzar vibe 250 1000watt, 2 channel mosfet.  Anyone out their with a good technical Walkthrough for accomplishing the test..I need a dummies on amplifiers strep by step..thanks..ha ha

First off check out this tutorial http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/vomillia.htm read the part about resistance / ohms. Now to determine if your sub is blown set your voltage meter to ohms and test each coil. If you get a reading of about 2 ohms per coil then the sub is good. As far as your 2nd question goes I can’t understand what you’re asking about.
