bought a cell phone hands free kit and would like to hook up stereo mute is there a way to do this on a 2003 G35 w/ stock clarion deck

I too have a G35 and would like to know how to have the stereo mute when I receive a call on my handsfree kit....I also have the stock bose HU with Navi. There has to be a way since the Navi can mute the stereo to give directions.

Ok I did some research, G35driver.com, you can do this if you have nav, otherwise no one knows, also the kit is aftermarket.

So if the kit is aftermarket it should have a MUTE wire. If it does wire a relay to interrupt the switched 12v going to the radio.

I do have the navi, can anyone tell me how to get the phone to mute the stereo?

Once again is your HF kit aftermarket? If it is use the prescribed method above. If not.... dont know.
