are you gettin error when you tried to remtoe start?
look on page 7 on the user manual, it state all the error code and work from there.

Well I got to the point where it will start, but it dies a few seconds later unless I put the key in and turn it to the "ON" position.  Just putting the key in does not help, it still dies.  Key must be turned to "ON".

Figured it out!  I had to wire up the key sense output from the DEI 556U to the key sense on the steering column.

How did you bypass the clutch with the compustar alarm? I have a 2004 STi, I can get it to remote start if I manually depress the clutch. I am sending a ground signal to the GREEN/ YELLOW wire for the clutch but it still wont work. How did you do it? Thanks
