prestige APS25KB light flash

Hi,

A few weeks ago an old lady skipped the stop sign and bashed up my car. Anyways the wire to the lights was ripped off, it is dark blue, Where do I re-connect this wire to get my lights to flash when I use the alarm.

the wire from the prestige should be white.. the blue wire is for a truck pop or something.. the wire in your car for light flash is going to be brown and can usually be found at the head light switch.. or of course, under the hood at a light (this is for parking lights)

Looks like someone hooked up your RS unit to the headlight wire instead of the parking light wire ( if the wire that you are describing is the DARK BLUE from the car and not from the RS unit ) . Do what SnomanF150 says and hook up the BROWN wire at the switch or it is also at the passenger kick panel and connect this to the WHITE wire on the RS unit.

BTW: Where did you say the DARK BLUE wire was ripped out from ? Please give us the exact location. If this wire was in the ingine compartment then it can be one of 4 different wires. Did you trace the wire back into the car and see where it leads ( if the wire was ripped in the engine compartment )?

Thanks for  replying.

What it seems to me is that the installer just used his own wire to extend it. It leads from the multi-tone siren. I am sure this wire is for the lights because before the accident it was connected to the driver-side parking light but I'm not sure which color wire. Will all the lights flash if I connect it to just one bulb?

I tried hooking it up to the brown wire from the lights and nothing is happening. Any ideas of what I else I should do?

Do what SnomanF150 says and hook up the BROWN wire at the switch or it is also at the passenger kick panel and connect this to the WHITE wire on the RS unit. Take that wire from the engine and pull it through the firewall and atach it to the wire as decribed above. This will solve all your lighting problems.

I tried attaching it to the brown wire and nothing is happening. If I attach it to the passenger side brown wire would that do anything?

What could be the problem?
