How to power 2 amps individually ?

Ok right now i have alpine MRV t 320 it needs 160RMS to power my component set but right now its powering my jl sub. The wire running ot it is 10 GUAGE. I want to give my amp back to the components and install another amp to power the sub. THe amp i will get will be 300RMS * 1 @ 4ohms Maybe 400RMS amp. Anyways how will i install this do i just buy a seperate amp kit and hook it up to the battey along with 10guage wire next to it ? is it ok to do this. Of will i haev to r un a 2 guage wire to the back seat and use a distribution block to feed the power to the two amps? im confused on how to do this. I had the last amp installed by a shop so this time i dont wanna pay em because i know how i can see the wires and ill be able to do it myself. anyways how am i gonna do this can you give me some advice. the total power that will ill be drawing is 600RMS. but most likely is goign to be 300RMS for sub and then 160 for the components. thanks any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you use a 2 awg it will be more than enogh current for those amps and it will possibly look cleaner than running two 10 awg down the side of your car. But I would never power a sub amp with 10awg wire.

I think 2 awg is much more then you need. 4 awg will do fine. and it's cheaper.

Just run one 4G wire to the trunk, then run 2 8g wire to the amps.

Is it ok to leave that 10guage in their and stick a 4guage direct from battery to sub amp ? is this ok ? or is this bad...am i gonan need a new battery? im in a 1999 honda civic lx 4dr.....

You shouldnt need a new battery. If you find that your lights are dimming a lot, then you should upgrade your alternator, not battery. But you should be fine with your stock alternator, im pulling more power then your amps will be and my stock (probably original) '88 crown vic alt. is holding up just fine, aka. little to no light dimming.

ok so is it ok to run a new 4guage wire to the new sub amp i dont wanan mess with distrib. blocks. they are prettty expensive a amp kit 4guage isnt cost me more than 40CDN off ebay.

hey dont 4get walmart for your amp wiring needs! a 4guage wiring kit for 26$ complete with distro block. hell yea

For your system I would go with 4guage wire and as spooty said, wal-mart has a pretty decent kit if you are trying to keep you expenses down.  Also, I noticed in the civics that the negative battery cables are a little small so you might want to upgrade it with 4gauge also.  This will also help you system and your car electrical system.  As for the 10gauge wire, you can leave it there if you want to, but since you will be running a new cable I would remove the 10 gauge while replacing it with the 4.  This makes for a clean install and less things to worry about if you ever need to service your system.
