I recently installed a Crimestopper alarm in my 94 Civic EX coupe. I'm an amatuer and this was my first alarm install. I took my time and soldered all connections. Everything has worked great so far, except one thing. The autolocking feature, or passive locking, or whatever it's called doesn't work properly. When the ignition is turned on, the doors never lock, but if locked manually, they do unlock when the ignition is turned off. I know that I tapped the right wire to lock the doors becuase when I arm the alarm the doors lock just fine. I also made sure that the autolocking feature was 'turned on', in fact I think that's the default setting but I don't remember exactly. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be?
ps - I'll get back with the model number of the alarm

I've done 3 CrimeStopper Alarm installtion with different models. All of them required that feature to be programmed. Reprogram your module according to the manual.

It would help if you listed the model number, for further troubleshooting...

What do you mean by "from the Alarm side"?
I'm pretty sure I programmed it right, but maybe I'll have to try again. I'm installing a stereo and speakers this weekend, so I'll try then.

I don't remember exactly, but if the doors lock when I arm it then I must've tapped the right wires, right?

First off, the ignition controlled locking on a crimestopper takes about 5 seconds to activate..it does not happen immediately with key in ignition..I know..I own one..
Along with it, I can tell you that the dome light wires and the door trigger wires on a crimestopper need to be isolated from each other, if they are on the same wire on the car. Diode isolate them.. This alarm seems to be sensitive to feedback on the line..especially on one wire systems. I could not get the passive arm feature to work on a protege since the dome supervision wire was interrupting the door trigger from starting the 30 sec countdown timer for passive arming when all doors were locked. I also resolved a protege one wire lock unlock issue through relays, even though the lock required a resistor and the unlock just a negative pulse. On certain alarms I could just do this without relays..not on the crimestopper.. Double check your wiring and isolate as needed. There could be feedback that is preventing this ignition lock feature from working..
