alright I got some new(one used) amps, a kenwood excelon kac-x811d and a kicker impulse 652xi. I have a 02 silverado and was wondering what you guys recommend to power these. right now i was thinkin bout runnin 0/1 into distro and out with 4G to amps, and vice versa with ground. or maybe since i already am runnin 4G as is, maybe just adding another 4G at the battery, would that be bad? im also on a tight budget but if i have to go 0/1 i will. oh the amp will be runnin @2ohms until i can by anotheer sub.

kenwood specs Dynamic Power: 566 Watts
-	Output Regulation: Under 0.2dB (4 ohms)
-	R.M.S. Power Output (1-Ohm/1-Channel): 1016 Watts (1.0% THD+N)
-	R.M.S. Power Output (2-Ohms/1-Channel): 919 Watts (1.0% THD+N)

Kicker impulse specs

rated power--- rms power @ 12v

65 watts per channel into 4ohm ( stereo)

95 watts per channel into 2ohm (stereo)

190 watts ( bridge/mono into 4ohm)

dynamic power @ 14v

90 watts per channel into 4ohm( stereo)

130 watts per channel into 2ohm (stereo)

260 watts (bridge/mono)into 4ohm)

ok i gots anuther? rite now i have a REaudio SE so wired in paralled will produce a 2ohm load which would be 919watts! the sub is has a max rms of 600. option 2 would be to use my current amp, alpine mrp-m350 rated at 350rms @ 2ohm. but i heard it damaging to a sub to underpower. but with 300 extra watts i think that could also be damaging. what should i do?

go ahead and run the kenwood with the gains turn down, I would at least go with 2 guage for power and ground, ont he chevy's you need to ensure you get a good ground. the trucks are notorious for haviing bad grounds, i have had to do the big 3 on most of my istalls on the trucks.

You can run another 4 gauge from the battery if that fits your budget better right now. Fuse it like the other one. And as far as underpowering a woofer goes, do it and the sub will suffer no harm. The only people who kill speakers are those who don't understand how to properly set their systems up...and use them responsibly.
