Hi. Three requests about post 2000 Hondas:

1. What models/trim had steering wheel stereo controls (SWSC), and multi-CD head units (HU)?

2. What are the resistances used for the different SWSC functions? **If anyone has a service manual schematic showing this, it would be great**

3. Is it possible to build a wire harness adapter to use one of these HUs in my 1989 Accord?

PS 1. Yes, I know my unit is a 1DIN, but I have room below for a 1.5/2DIN 2. Yes, I've heard of the PAC unit, but no, I don't want to use it. I want to stay Honda.

My question would be how do you plan to use a steering wheel remote with the wheel spinning? IMO it would be more trouble/problems then it would be worth.You can find honda service manuals online but I doubt it will have the resistance listed for controls. Also the pac module won't work for you considering you want to use wired remote, not IR.
