2000 Toyota 5 speed

Compustar cm4200 comes with relay attached to pin #7 red wire. Do I need this relay? If so do I have to cut ignition wire?

Im not familiar with the alarm but it sounds like the starter kill relay. if you want this feature, you would have to put this in line with the starter wire.

Pin number 7 reads from the installation manual as:(GREEN/ red) this wire is used to power the (+) IGNITION. This wire is also an input for the Compustar used to monitor the status of the vehicle and for programing.

Green wire comes out of connector alone.

Red wire comes out of connector to relay. Relay also has yellow wires to center, and yellow black stripe wire.

Since this is ignition connection do I have to cut ingnition wire at harness plug?
