I want to add police siren

I'm thinking of adding a police siren to my alarm.Exactly what equipment do i need?? I went to a couple of different sites,and the whole siren.speaker info is confusing.I don't know exactly what i need?"ole blake"

police sirens are different than standard alarm sirens. They are more like a regular amp/speaker setup. The control box/amp goes inside the car and produces and amplifies the signal, which is fed to the speaker. I'm not sure if you can simply trigger the unit with 12V to have it sound off. But to answer your questions, you'll need a controller and a siren.Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

No i don't plan on pulling anyone over,i just want something different besides the usual alarm siren..I've looked at all my options which include a bb,airhorns,piezo siren.I just want something different that will stand out a lil more if set off..Usually the sound of a police siren makes people turn around.The normal alarm siren folks nowadays just ignore since some people have their alarms set so sensitive,that it hurts the rest of us.."ole blake"
