Is there any way to disable the 12 minute timer on the BOA 165b so that the engine will continue to run until the stop button or the brake pedal is pushed. If not is there a system that does not have a timed shut off that yall would recommend.

On most systems you can change the runtime through a programming menu. Most DEI pieces can be set to run for 12, 24, or 60 minutes, but not indefinately (to my knowledge no one manufacturers a system that does not use a timer). I checked your installation manual and I saw no programming menu option at all. I would have to say that this is not an option you can change on that system.

You could try tying the factory alarm rearm wire to the activation input wire. this should cause the r/s to reactivate itself when it times out.

that might work, but wouldnt it kill and immediately restart due to the delay?

No way to disable through the alarm. Why would you want to do this?

Get rid of the brake kill switch and dont use a key at all. I am building a kit car.

Voltage or tach will still disable the remote start.

Voltage will disable it? I thought that the voltage would stay constant. I was not planning on using the tach cutoff.

what about using a new keyless start like on the toyota avalon, but instead of a button, wire in keyless activation?

You can use the remote start in a round about way to start the vehicle.

Use the outputs of the remote start to latch your own relays, and have your own relays keep the car running. This way, or course, you will have NO shutdowns at all. Kinda cool though!
