Hi guys,
im thinking of how to configure my wiring settings for my sub amp. can i run the +12 cable to the amp directly from the battery's + terminal and the amps ground terminal directly to the cars chassis where the amp is? can i run the amp without changing the OEM power cables from the alternator? its a 4 channel sony amp. im running 2 10" subs with it. (im thinking of running the amp with the OEM battery and alternator. will it work?)

Yes you can and should run the 12V cable to the battery and ground the amp to the chassis and the altenator cable will be fine for the amp you are running.
