2 ohm speakers

Goodday all

I have a pioneer deh2800mp head unit and was running an older pair of Infinity Kappas in the rear with factory speakers in the front doors

I recently bought new Kappas for the doors and for the rear deck but noticed too late that the new speakers were 2 ohm instead of 4 ohm

They do sound great but I am worried about cooking the receiver

I don't want to run them in series or add amplifiers at this time

Would a 2 ohm 5 watt resistor in series with each speaker keep my receiver stable?

If so would it be placed on the + wire or the - wire?
