- from + on speakers?

intalling new speakers in my 92 honda accord and the wires are weird colors. how to i tell what is (+) and what is (-) if the colors of the wires are blue and green (other speaker wires are different colors too)? the one thing all the wires in the car have in commen is that the two wires have 1 white strip through it and the other has yellow stripe.  which is (+) and which is (-)?

Did you cut off the factory wire harness?

Big mistake! If you still have it you can use it to tell what is what.

Well the way is that you were supose to purchase the after market plug (about 10 bucks) an just connect those wires to the cd player an then plug it into the factory plug, your done. the after market an the cd player use the same colors kinda make it fool proof. little chance of error an just neater an quicker

no no, i did that....im not working with the deck....just with the speaker and the speaker wire (that worked with the new deck installed) now the harness the plugs directly into the speaker has two wires...and now ones neg and ones pos...

The great things about wires an harnesses is that they can always be reconnected or extened. Pretty much. Its fixable.
