The gmdlbp is going to make your life a piece of cake. Hook it in remote start harness connections accordingly, the only wire that you need to tie into the car is the purple data wire at the diagnostic plug. Did you mean the 1270tl?

Yep, I meant 1270tl.  My fingers don't always listen when I tell them what to type.  That's awesome that I only have to hook in the one wire from the remote start to activate it!.   So,basically the GMDLBP is mostly used to bypass the key interface?  I ordered that other harness for the ignition too.  That is really going to speed things up.  Any other advice?

Yeah the gmdl-bp works well it will pop the trunk as well as control the doorlocks and bypass passlock II. Advice? you can get your parking lights wire in the radio harness (brown wire) Make sure to test before hooking. Enjoy.

So, the gmdlbp will control all that stuff by running just the one wire from the autostart to it supplying a negative ground when on, and running the purple wire to the diagnostic plug?  Sounds too good to be true.

You still have to hookup the lock/unlock wires from your ultrastart to the gmdl-bp. As well as hookup the constant, ground, and negative out when running on the GMDLBP. Then tie the violet data wire into the data plug and program. We've seen mixed results using the gmdl-bp on grandams, they sometimes don't want to do the locks and/or the trunk even though the vehicle does have oem keyless. I would've just went with a GMBP and hooked the locks up myself, but if you already have the module put it to use!

probably going to get a lot of feedback for this post but here it goes. Like someone posted earlier, you want to use the DEI piece Valet 561T or Audiovox as9075. The Valet unit is extremly easy to install. All you hook up is the ign harness (power, acc., start) brake, ground, parking lts, and lock wire. With your Factory remote hit lock, lock, lock car starts. The Valet piece is made by DEI (makers opf Viper) Viper is def. just a name but TRUST me DEI or Audiovox is the way to go - everything else, I mean everything else is crap. No respectable will install anything other than these 2 units. Have been doing this for years, own shop, dont go with crimestopper or gmdlbp??. Not worth it in the long run, yeah you'll save a couple of bucks for getting the cheap one, but your car will get f'ed up and tech support for those crap companies are a joke. Call up DEI tech or Audiovox tech support. Those guys wil always have the answer. Good Luck

I do have a black key, so that's good to know.  I have to do the girlfriend's car 1st then I'll worry about my intrepid.  Sounds like mine will be even easier.

What is the easiest spot to grab a power wire to power up the GMDLBP, I'm sure I can find one, but thought I'd ask.  I'm going to start wiring up the two units together tonight and label all the wires so I can throw it in "real quick" haha! tomorrow or thursday night.
