Hey all, I need a little help installing my compustar alarm into my 93 sc300. I have attached a picture of the wiring diagram for the alarm and the vehicle wiring diagram. Not sure exactly which wires go where, I have done two other alarm installs but they were in my honda and the viper diagram seemed a lot easier to understand. If someone could maybe draw lines on my image to where i connect each wire that'd be great!

CN1-3 = White

CN1-4 = chassis ground

CN1-1 = red wire of siren (black wire of siren = chassis ground

CN1-2 =  not connected

CN2-1 = GREEN/ blue (-) at steering column harness (not listed in your diagram)

CN2-2 = GREEN/ red (-) at steering column harness

CN2-6 = BLACK / YELLOW

CN2-9 = green(-)

CN3-2 = RED / white(-)

CN3-3 = RED / white(-)

CN4-2 = need to use relay as follows (BLACK/ silver dots lexus wire)

---> 85: CN4-2 wire

---> 86: 12 fused volts

---> 30: 12 fused volts (10 amp fuse)

---> 87: BLACK/ silver dots wire of lexus (+)

CN4-4 = GREEN/ blue (-)

CN4-5 = RED / black (-)

If you want to use the CN3-1 hood pin sensing wire, you'll have to purchase an aftermarket hood pin and connect it to this wire.

CN2-5 (starter kill) will have to be used with a relay again, and you'll have to split the starter wire (BLACK/ white) in two:

85: CN2-5

86: 12 fused volts

30: key side of BLACK/ white wire

87a: motor side of BLACK/ white wire

87: nothing

hope this helps, best of luck -- it's a real straightforward install

The search function is your friend.

"dont ground out!"

Hey thanks a lot. for the 'trunk output' where you say I would need a relay, I don't need that option do I? I'd rather just leave off a remote trunk pop. And with the starter kill, I can use the relay that came with the alarm right? It's alreayd attached to the harness. Also how did you know the wires for the parking lights and horn output if the wires aren't on the diagram?
P.S.-any idea how to get my siren wire through the firewall. I found a hole on the passanger side but can't get it to come through.. :(

Bump, having some trouble (sorry ultimate noob, but I want to learn). Factory disarm wire, says it's green in the 'kick panel', but man there are like a hundred wires in the 'kick panel', a huge mess of harnesses. Anyone have any more specifics? How does one test these wires to make sure they are right, for instance, the factory disarm, or the door unlock lock, like if there was more then one color (does that happen?)

Sorry another Question about the factory disarm, when/if I find it, do I CUT IT and hook it up to the wire from the brain, or do i splice the wire from the brain into it?

This is where a multimeter is an installers best friend.  To test the factory disarm you would have to connect your red test lead to that wire, black lead to ground and have it on DC settings. Turn the key cylinder.  Your meter will show a read everytime you turn the key in the door cylinder.  It could go from a voltage between 7-12 and drop down to 0v when the key is turned in the door cylinder to unlock.

So when I find the right wire, do I cut it and hook it to the 'disarm output' on the alarm, or splice the wires? while it's still hooked to the harness?

Thanks, ok I wired up everything EXCEPT-
factory disarm (green wire in kick panel)-Have no clue where it is, there are a gillion green wires, anyone know which plug it's in????
HORN/Parking lights (steering column harness?) - Can't find these wires
door trigger (RED / white) - Found TWO red white, one goes into the door the other doesn't but I'm not sure which one it is, i don't want to hook it up wrong and later come back. Also don't know how to test.
Now it seems that my interior lights don't work at all, after pulling plugs and all this...any help?
