i fear we may have to wait even longer to purchase the remote alone.  they are telling me it won't be for sale stand-alone.  i JUST installed my 5901 and only want the new remote.  sux.

That's probably because it has the OLED screen and they are saving their stock for the 5902. As soon as they get enough 5902's in the warehouse then they will be able to sell the remote separately. Probably not until this spring I would guess. Even longer if 5902 sales are strong and they can't build up a reserve in the warehouse. The pricing for the 5902 is already starting to drop, so I might buy mine within the next couple of weeks. Just waiting for the price to drop a little bit more.

Just got mine a couple of days ago, but owner's manual states that since the system is so complex, they're not including the INSTALLATION manual.  They want you to get it installed by a pro.  Plus, you need a bitwritter with V2.9, which I can't find anywhere.  Does anybody have an install manual or can they put down the steps to program it for automatic transmission and everything like that?  Thanks in advance.  Got everything working but the Remote Start since it's preset to manual transmission.

That's ridiculous! The only thing that's really different about it is the remote. Mine better come with a installation manual or it's going right back!
My Bitwritter is V2.6 and it's just a few months old. I'd be surprised if they went up that many versions in just a few months. Who is giving you this information?
Might be a good idea if someone could post the link for the installation manual.
