i really need help to figure out this problem!
i installed Viper 5901 and DEI 520T backup battery in French Toyota Land cruiser 120 (KZJ120). everything works perfectly except remote start.
it shuts off immediately as soon as ignition gets on. and a few seconds later, viper remote shows 'remote start error'.
this car is automatic.
1. push remote start button
2. car small light flashes once
3. ignition gets on for a moment
4. immediately shuts off
5. nothing happens (no flashes)
6. a few seconds later, remote shows 'remote start error'.
right now I made following connections.
H2/21 VIOLET / YELLOW (-) 200mA STARTER OUTPUT
connected to relay 85 (86 = constant 12V, 30 = constant 12v, 87 = ST2, 87a = none)
H3/1 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT
connected to IG1
H3/2 RED / WHITE (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 2
connected to AM2 (constant 12v)
H3/3 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT
connected to ACC
H3/4 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE)
connected to ST1 (car side)
H3/5 Green (+) STARTER OUTPUT (KEY SIDE)
connected to ST1 (key side)
H3/6 RED (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 1 INPUT
connected to AM1 (constant 12v)
H3/7 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2
connected to IG2
H3/8 (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A
no connection
H3/9 RED / BLACK (+) FUSED (30A0 ACCESSORY/STARTER INPUT
connected to AM1 (constant 12v)
PLEASE help me!

What year is the L/Cruiser and is it French market or a GRIS import?

Program it as an auto and remember you need a by-pass for the factory immobiliser, also set it as virtual tach and program a 5 second diesel delay.

I programmed correctky. I have installed bypass kit too. Still not working.
Figured out interesting thing today.
I disconnected H3/1 PINK and remote start worked. But then no ignition detection, and I cannot change settings.
What could it be?

Whenever I connect H3/1, even after engine started by remote, it shuts off everything.(viper is still working).

mmm, im confused...
this is the wiring diagram of ignition sw. im 100% sure i made correct connections.
i guess there is nothing to do with starer wires. engine started disconnecting H3/1 (but starter motor won't stop).
i uploaded a movie. i hope it helps to figure out this problem...

No real difference they both work the same way.
I recently installed a 5904 in my car, replaced an old Clifford system, somehow it fires the brakes after running for about 1 second and shuts down so I removed the brown (+) footbrake wire (H2/16) and wired it through a push switch, solved.
Make sure that wire isn't seeing a positive during the R/S process.
Please check that the NSS switch is set to on or you've soldered the leads together and your BLACK/ white at H2/2 is properly grounded (masse).
